does pr helps in traffic.. please justify.. i have pr 3 rank site.. how much traffic should i expect? and what should be the targeted pr for a startup website that is around 5-6 months old?
I dont think PR has much impact on anything much these days....I used to get worried about dropped PR but I barely bother checking these days.
OMG, the next PR update will only happens in the next three months from now... Until then, we better talk about the other rather than the PR again...
then there will be another one popping up asking when is the next PR update, the cycle will continue for x generations
This is the thread that never ends... it just goes on and on my friend.. Some people started posting it not knowing what it was and they will continue posting it forever just because...
One and half to two months' time it should happen, I guess. I was pissed off with my PR2 rating in July. Hope for a 3 or 4 this time... BTW, I see that a lot of people call those who are worried about PR insane! I guess, for those who haven't got a PR assigned yet or underrated, it is a very important yardstick, especially to start monetizing (recognition from advertisers is really important). After all, 80-85% of your organic traffic is originated from Google searches which is linked to PR (if not externally disclosed PR alone) There has to be a dedicated thread (a well described one) on this instead of creating newer threads every other day!
You like a Crappy way of measuring a site which noone cares about which only updates once or twice a year? or a site which is "apparently" rigged or some crap like that but gives good statistics where needed
Alexa ranking can be forged so easily. Anyone can obtain an Alexa ranking under 100,000 with 0 traffic. So in my opinion.. PR beats Alexa hands down. Not that I personally care about PR.. but Alexa is worthless.
