The only problem is we are both right, just making our point from two different sides. Its kind of hard to continue in that scenario.
Yeah! Knock it off, you heightless bastard! Start being wrong or we'll send out Mella's Angels to work you over... (...no wait...)
PR matters because DMOZ ranks you by it and DMOZ is the best idea ever. It works seamlessly and is truly an "Open Directory" Hows That?
I would hardly call spending a minute to type, "When's the next PR update" as being "wrapped around the PR and Google axle", etc etc. And I'm sure that goes for the others as well. Don't get so full of yourself, bub.
Bub ... hmmm, I've been called worse. Having been born in West Virginia and growing up in Kentucky, "Billy Bob" was always more offensive as my name is William Robert, but "Bub" I can handle. The comment was obviously not pointed at anyone, rather than to let remind users/members know that there are more important elements of a website than the little green bar. Often, people ask just to create a thread/buzz and then the topic takes on a life of its own. Even when they ask out of genuine curiosity, the same mystosis begins and the thread ends up .... well, here. I would go on to further qualify my post, but that would no doubt only quantify offending more, so I will merely say, Good Luck and Happy Ranking! Sincerely, Bub
Check this http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum30/29720.htm GG talks about aproximate intervals between PR updates
this li'l green bar is driving people crazy.. this mishype is only b'coz ppl dont understand the difference between public PR (which is visible) and the actual PR(where is it???) u dont beleive it i have a link popularity of 34 and PR of 5 for one of my site and my competitor is having 26,000 of link popularity and the same PR. and ask me they are really frustated with my site earlier we did a link exchange but just after last PR updation when i got PR 5 they removed my site from thier database and dint even bother to inform me. when i looked back and mailed them asking about it they dint even bother to reply. they think having a PR of 5 is smthing and as they removed my site's link from thier site it iwll bring my PR down.
and i hate this peon tag cud smthing better....i prefer a tag called newbie than this peon tag...peon!!!!??????
Thank you for all the information you guys have provided. PR to me is just something fun, its nice to know when you have achived something.
