Dont worry about your PR so much... one fine day (which will 30 days for new websites and 180 days for old) you will find the GOOGLE TOOLBAR showing some green (increased or decreased) for a website you own. The PR update was a month back or so, but only limited to new websites which were a few months old. The old websites were not touched in the recent PR updates. Thats why Roman rightly defined PR On a serious note - forget the PR update - and concentrate on better things and let google decide when to do the update than anybody playing the guessing game..
It does mean money (arent their better sources out there than PR)... but whats the point in discussing about it when no one actually knows when its gonna happen(except google ppl who decide the update). Its better to concentrate on building a unique website with lots of good content, indepth research and design..
i think it will happen on 11th october, just wait & see by the way, 11th octtober is not my birhtday either, hehe
with PR comes better oppertunity in link exchanges... me being a myspace site ... i need those links... with the link oppertunities comes unique traffic and natural traffic from SE... id say its holding me back some by not HAVING ANY PR at all
Let me just make things clear for all those wondering when there is going to be a page rank update and who insist on asking in forums......NO ONE KNOWS......only the engineers at google who press <enter> on the pagerankupdate.prog know...... </rantoff>
This thread is just as pointless as all those "pr has been updated" and "when is pr going to be updated" threads.
http://www.seocompany.ca/pagerank/page-rank-update-list.html fairly neat to get some sort of very very rough idea.
Hey Guys, I wonder if a PR update is in its birth - I am seeing the PR of some of my sites increase on some of the DCs. Anyone else report this?????
There is a Toolbar PR update now? How can you tell? err I mean what tool specifically to check the different data centers? Eric
well yeah there are better sources than pr but* if you are spending your time making your site a high quality site then you may not have the time to do the other things like post on forums, submit to review sites, submit to all of the directories and you might not have enough money to pay for advertising for your site yet. So PR is a free way to get links and that's why everybody wants it.
