    Just do as they are asking you.

    However, Your account name, Pan Card name, Bank name -- should be same.

    I also talked to paypal yesterday
    They told me that RBI is the one verifying the PAN nos.
    they said my account should get resolved this weekend.

    So keeping fingers crossed

    pretty false statement.Rbi has better works to do that checking PAN cards. Its always banks/MFs jobs to validate their customers data else RBI will not be able to do anything other than checking pan cards.

    Had a talk for the 3rd time with the Paypal support...I was put on hold while on the call...so i thought may be they will restore it now...But he told me...Sunday probably and maxium by Tuesday it will get restored...If you have free time...do bug them....also support guy was telling me...i can still receive funds....and i was like....wtf...what is point of making it limited then...he rectified himself after sometime though. :)

    lol...same was the case with me, when the girl put me on hold for like 5 mins or something i thought she might be restoring the a/c...but Alas...she asked me to wait 48 hrs...more....its like giving u a sigh of relief and taking it back :p well...keeping my fingers crossed...hopefully i will be in biz again by monday....my biz have been suffering a lot due to dis mishap....


    I feel like PP is like Musaddi and RBI is office office....asking them to come again tomorrow :p

    Contact them on Twitter and Believe me, their Twitter guys are very helpful and knowledgeable persons. Not like their DUMB A** Customer Care representatives. I also had such issues as you can see on my previous posts, I contacted them on phone like 10-12 times but everytime got the same answer "We're working on it and your account will be restored within 24-48 hours".

    Then I contacted them through twitter. Those guys and a lady is really helpful. I explained them my issue, she understood it very well and my PAN NO verified within 24 hours and my account got restored within next 24 hours.

    So quick results, contact them through twitter. They have no rush on twitter so they can personally look into your issues.

    Send them your problem through DM and they will definitely help you.

    today i also got the same email saying that you have invalid pan card...
    the name on my pan card is pawan kumar and my pp acc name is pawan singh....is name the prob...if yes..can i change the pp username?

    I've already added the correct PAN no. on my PP , when I signed up and still they are asking for the correct PAN no. What should I do, now ?

    I don't think you can change your surname in your paypal account , better contact their support if they can help otherwise you may have to create another account with correct details.

    i was told that by sunday it would be restored...but when i called them up today, the girl told me that my case is still under review and have been forwarded to a account specialist...when i say, shall i scan my card and show it to u, then they say, no thats not required...and they are waiting for RBI to give back the info about the pan numbers, it kinda sucks !!!!!!

    i tried signing up for alertpay yesterday, but that too is no less than shit, bank withdrawals are not possible there also, problem in verifying the credit card, too many headache in adding ur website, finally i gave up and closed the a/c yesterday only..

    2CO i have heard, charges double fees than paypal...so that cudnt be a gud option either...

    really in a mess...due to all RBI and PP shit...

    LOGICALLY, I think its better to pay more fees and get a good service than to keep losing business and pleading day and night (to some dumb a*s clowns) to get shitty limitations lifted and get our HARD EARNED M o n e y.
    At least, i think n plan the same.

    more than a week now.....

    when i contacted them they said they would get it restored by sunday
    still limited.

    Have contacted Paypal through Twitter DM

    i have contacted them via twitter and they replied me today via email, they said that the names are not matching i.e
    1) Name on PP a/c
    2) Name on Bank A/c
    3) Name on Pan card

    must be same...the problem with my account was that, the name on the paypal a/c and pan card is SHAHAB AHMAD KHAN , while the name on the bank a/c is also SHAHAB AHMAD KHAN, but at the time when i added the bank a/c in paypal, it gave only 1 field for filling up the name and the sur name KHAN was already written over there, hence i wrote only Shahab in that 1 given field, hence , my name on the bank a/c which i gave to paypal was just SHAHAB KHAN and the middle name was missing in it. that was the reason that they limited my a/c..


    now what happend was, once i got the email i checked back my paypal a/c and i saw that they have removed my bank a/c and was asking me to enter the bank details again !

    so now this time i entered my first name as well as middle name in that 1 single column, so that the name i am giving to paypal is full, i.e. Shahab Ahmad Khan....

    i also called the customer care after filling this info, and the girl told me, i neeed to wait 48 hrs more, so that they can verify the info which i have entered, because they have a very long list to go...


    SO everyone who is confused why their a/c is limited, theses cud be the reasons.

    1) either you have not filled the FULL name in the bank a/c info which u gave to paypal
    2) there is a mismatch like instead of Shahab Ahmad Khan, u have written Shahab Khan Ahmad, or similar mistake
    3) you have entered wrong PAN number

    i will keep u all updated and let u know when my a/c gets resolved.....well seriously after 10 days i have got the reply and feeling a bit relaxed now...coz i now know what the problem was !

    though did not get any reply... account got restored the same day.
