450% is extemely bold claims for speed... how can you measure that on a page that's a few kb? and to the average user, they won't look at the variation of speed due to the use of plugins etc.

Simple. Use appropriate test software. They didn't sit there with a stopwatch and click Go.

Firefox is the best, especially with tons of add ons which comes handy at times. Chrome is fine, but Big G does not have monopoly, at least in this area !

I love Firefox for its addon features and the speed it offers. If its going to be 450% faster than IE8, then IE8 will be dead soon....

firefox/ie are both heavy browsers.. sure they both load pages fast enough but opening lots of tabs and initial starting are much slower than chrome.

I hope Firefox lives up to the expectations. Not impressed with current Firefox, issues of hanging when page is not being displayed.

    P.S Safari sucks royally.

I've been using FF for several years now and I don't think I've even opened IE for over a year. With all the extra features, the speed and of coarse don't forget about security. IE sucks when It comes to security!

Why would anybody ever use IE anyway??? Is there something that IE can do that FF can't??

450% ? I guess that means the most pages will load in 1/8 of a second compared to 1/4 of a second....

i love Chrome, but until they get the add-ons like FF, it'll never be a front runner for me.
