I love Firefox and will definitely give the newer version a try when it's released. I never even updated my Internet Explorer, still have 6 on here. No need to update something I use maybe once every couple of months.

I can't wait for the release, and I'm hoping that a beta will leak somewhere before the official rollout.

Firefox has always been speedy, do prefer it over IE these days.

IE deserve to lose their large market share. The cookie blocking scum bagz.

Well if it's gonna be 450% faster than IE8, it simply means it's gonna start meeting the expectations.

It depends on how you use it. Google Chrome is the fastest because it is a very basic browser with no addons. If you load your Firefox with addons, I don't think you will feel that 450% increase. IE is just crap anyway.

I wish IE would die soon. I only use Firefox if I can help it. What gets me is that people "rush" to upgrade IE and then I get calls saying, I dont know whats going on with my computer but everything seems so slow. It was the same with IE7. LEAVE IT ALONE, thats what I say. Bring on the new Firefox!!

yes. Firefox is faster and more configurable. The best feature on firefox that I like is the ad blocker and the ability to restore a session.

I always use Firefox mainly because of the add-ons but I must say IE8 seems very fast.

    Thanks Brian

I use Opera, its very fast, but mainly because it can be synchronised with Opera Mini (mobile web browser). Sometimes, when certain site force me to use IE or Firefox, i prefer Firefox because of greater speed, less foolish notifications etc

Normally you shouldn't, but just in case if things go bad and you get a new Firefox with nothing at all, you need to restore from a full backup. There is a nice Firefox addon that will help you do that. It is called FEBE.

    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2109

Install it first. Take a backup now. Then try upgrading to 3.0.8. In case you get a blank firefox, install FEBE again and restore from the old backup.

I am going to usse both IE8 and firefox for the time being, While firefox is faster in opening new tabs and passes acid tests, IE8 is my browser of choice
