The idea of a directory of editorials is a great one, however your on a bad path here.

It appears as though you're just copying editorials from newspapers and putting their content on your blog. By doing this, you are breaking the law.

You are violating the copyright of each of the newspapers that you are STEALING from. You should do some reading about copyright and fast, because you could find yourself in a lot of trouble. Copyright infringement like the kind you are engaged in can result in $100,000 plus in fines.

In fact, the government is now pushing a law to penalize attempted copyright infringement with up to 10 years in prison and up to $1,000,000 in fines.

    Hi,

The topic that you are looking for information does, in general, fall in the category of "fair use" doctrine. In particular, we are discussing how it applies to websites. As a beginning point, you may want to look at this site, for some information, Explanation of the Fair Use Doctrine.

As you can see, the courts purposely leave much to interpretation, but I would say that you would defintely want legal advise if you continue to publish full editorials on your website. I wouldn't do this. You may want to provide commentary and links to the original sources, as a safer alternative.

You definitely need to look at the fair use doctrine. That said, just because you include a note saying the material belongs to another site (using their copyright notice) doesn't change anything for you. It is still improper us.

Ok now I understand; I also consulted some other guys and decided that I should stop implementing this..though it was an innocent approach still it may violate some rules So I will stop publishing. But I will change the content soon with my own.

    Thanks guys so much
