Newspaper / Magazine Advertising

    Hi,

I recently acquired/purchased (quite cheaply) some Adult Premium Rate telephone services.

I've set up a (really) quick website with the numbers on, but I would like to start advertising them immediately, but i'm a little uncertain where to advertise. (I believe) i've got two options really.

The first is to advertise in a national newspaper (Daily Star being just one i've contacted). It's the most expensive of the two options (per inch), is only in one day, but reaches tens of thousands of people all over the Country.

My second option is to advertise in a weekly magazine (Exchange and Mart, in this example). The price is cheaper (per inch), but it wouldn't reach as many people and I believe will only be in the North/Midlands issue, excluding the South completely. However, with this (or any) magazine, it is more likely to be read more than once, so even though the general target audience is smaller, there's more chance of the advert being seen again and again by this audience.

Can anyone offer any advice as to which would be best? Or any other alternatives?

I hope all of that makes some sense.

    Cheers

    Dan

That depend on the pecentage of customers you are going to target and expected ROI with those two medium, I think you should work out before you chose one of them.

    Many thanks.

I've 'heard', generally, you get a return of 2-5 times your investment in advertising, assuming you advertise in a somewhat relevant or appropriate place.

Like I said, bit of a beginner with this, so just looking for any advice.
