Are you looking for a free solution, or a paid for solution?

It depends on how timely the emails are. I send 30k+ each morning and use a dedicated server optimised for email sending plus the 1-2-all software program.

This works well for me - but if your emails do not need to be sent within a short time frame, you could run the same software on your normal webserver and send them through that, albeit taking probbaly close to 8 hours to send the whole lot out.

PHPList from tincan. FOSS. I use it and hacked it to integrate with osCommerce.

hmm I'm willing to pay. I have a phpfox site www.bodyboarder.com with 11,000 members and I also about 4 oscommerce sites with about 10,0000 customers. I want to send emails to alll about 12 times a year. OSC comes with a Send Newsletter thing but I dont think it goes through to everyone as well as phpfox

OsC newsletter thing sucks. I built a Web Service that lists available newsletters on osC but it queries a remote server. So I have one copy of PHPlist which serves 7 domains with newsletters. Nice and easy central management.

I suggest you the use of InterSpire SendStudio, a little more expensive mut maybe one of the best solutions on the market.

If something annoys me more than 3 times, I hack it apart and make it work like I want it to work. That's why Open Source combined with some PHP skills rules.

I have one 'global' newsletter that covers all, and 1 for each individually.

I won't be able to help you though (beyond inspiration) and my code isn't really modular enough to share easily either, sorry. You can probably get something like that set up via Get A Freelancer for around $125.

PHPList is the best you can get for free (you can limit the emails you send per day since a lot of shared hosting acc are limited to only a 100-500 emails per day to prevent spam).
I also used the CPanel mailing list and it worked ok (but I only used it with about 500 subscribers).
