Hello all I am new to affiliate marketing. I have a site promoting a product on clickbank. Finally starting to get some traffic to my page and trying to find the best way to use it. Right now I have a blog that I post articles on and I have another page promoting a product with a link to the affiliate. I just signed up with aweber because I have been reading that it is important to have an email list. I was wondering if it would a good or bad idea to have a newsletter signup form on my product page that made them signup before they could view my pitch page? Will this just drive people away or do you think I will get some signups? Also would you redirect them to a pitch page after they sign up? or use the signup form page as the pitch page and just send them straight to the affiliate page after they sign up? Hopefully I didnt make this sound confusing. Thanks in advance.
I suggest you use your newsletter to get visitors to sign up for it and as you mentioned you are now using aweber use them to redirect your signups straight to your affiliate page. Everyone I speak to who is experienced in the internet marketing field all say The Money Is In The LIST.

I take it you mean an affiliate optin? If not, disregard the rest.. NEVER put a forced optin before affiliate materials EVER. You will be surprised how many affiliates you will loose, and I would be one of them. If I wanted to promote your product, let me do it. I don't want emails selling me marketing sh*t, because I'm a marketer, who will read through your pitch and know exactly what you are selling. Email blasting MMO offers, is suitable for NOOBS.
