Newsletter friendly hosting?

I am running a high volume newsletter.
About 1 of 1000 recipients reports it as spam rather than using unsubscribe.
So my current hosting provider keeps asking me questions.
Do you know any hosting that is more flexible with these issues?

As long as you can provide proof of double opt-in, there shouldn't be an issue with most hosts. Since spamming can get an IP address blacklisted, hosts usually take this very seriously.

I agree with this statement. Also if you are sending newsletters why not go for VPS. With VPS it will allow you to use your own system resources without compromising other accounts (based on the shared hosting).

No hosts will likely be more flexible with these issues, and if you happen to find one, you can expect your shared IP to end up in mailing blacklist because the host didn't take these things into consideration, and it ends up affecting you and everyone else on the server by sending mail to the spam/junk folders, or deleting them altogether.

As stated above, as long as you can provide proof of it being an opt in newsletter, you should be fine. VPS'es will make it easier on you as there are no limitations placed on how many e-mails/hour you can send, however providers will still monitor the issue if an excess of SPAM notifications come through as they are the actual IP address owners.

There are e-mail services out there which allow you to send out a large amount of e-mail through an alternate provider.

Depends...most times when hosts give you a dedicated IP it's only for the Apache web server, and not the mail server. In other words, mail is still routed through the shared IP which everyone else likely uses as well :)

This is not an issue of web hosting but how legitimate of your list. If you got them by opted-in then it would be no problem whatever hosting you are using.
