whats the difference between newsletter and autoresponder? my host doesnt support those two. where can i find free autor. and how do i install it? on homepage of most websites they usually have a box where people use to subscribe mailing list. is that autoresponder or newsletter?
An autoresponder is the heart of your ezine. Ezine is short for emailed magazine or newsletter. An autoresponder handles subscription requests, send emails automatically in sequence, takes care of unsubscribe requests and allows you to send emails to all your subscribers at once. A properly written ezine/newsletter is the difference between making money online and making a good living. With your ezine you will be able to promote affiliate products and follow up with people who do not buy on their first visit to your website. Your ezine will build your credibility, and help you capture sales you would have otherwise missed. Why use an autoresponder? * Set it and forget it 24 hour automatic follow up. * Your ezine will build your credibility. * Email marketing is the most powerful way to sell online. * Ezine publishing is a major part of any online marketing campaign. _____________________________________ http://www.yesiloveit.com
An autoresponder is a program or service that accepts email addresses (typically via the forms that you refer to) and then automatically sends pre-typed emails or "newsletters" to these addresses at intervals that you specify. For free autoresponders, there is one called "ace" something that comes to mind but I've never used it. The big names (that also charge a monthly fee) are Aweber and GetResponse. A newsletter is often sent by an autoresonder and is typically a longer email that discusses a certain niche or topic and is sent via autoresponder to subscribers on a scheduled basis. Some have flexible goals of sending one out every two weeks, and some are structured such as the 1st of every month. Hope that helps!
Don't be tempted to use a free one, go with Aweber or Getresponse for excellent email delivery. Andrew
Good point AndrewJ. I'll elaborate on what I said earlier: If you are simply offering something for free then consider a free autoresponder. If you are trying to sell something (no matter how inexpensive) then go with the paid services (Aweber or GetResponse).
