    Newsfeed as in Continual RSS?

Easiest way is a Module they have called Latest News. It is dependent on section. I guess you could just get the RSS to update in a section/category than get this to display it.

Word of Warning: Joomla takes RSS in as individual content items and stores them in the DB. So before long you will ahve a X,000000 page website and most is scrapped.

Ideally you'd find a way to put the RSS into the main page so it just updates that one content item like a normal RSS would on any other site. Trust me I got burned by it.

Yeah, i was talking about rss. I have the url to the RSS. Now how to I get it so it is exactly how you said - "put it on the main page so it just updates that one content item like a normal RSS would on any other site."

wholesale can you please be more clear...
If you mean you have a feed url of your site done like feeds.feedburner.com/mysite then this is what you do
goto>modules>site modules>new..down in the content part add an image of the rss feed and link it to your feed url and publish it in the position you want

Hope that's what you were looking for
