Sending out a news release to sites in your field is one of the quickest and effective ways of getting traffic to a new site. When I have a new article published, the first thing I do is send a news release to my news list. However, there are three news sites that won’t accept emailed releases, but will required you to do a little extra. This little extra is worth doing because if these sites post your news, you’ll see a flood of traffic. Who are they? Find out here
Thanks man this will be very helpful to me. I am currently working on content for my old IT consulting webpage. Im converting it into a content site dedicated to helping people figure out problems as well as tons of other computer related. I'de love to be slashdotted, I hope that maybe someday I can get an article on there, that would probably do wonder's for my site.
Extremely powerful. Very nice. It appears that these site focus on tech news sites. Any ideas on finding sites of similar power for other topics? Brandon

Remember, when you send out a news release, make sure it is newsworthy and not overtly promotional. An article, however, is a different to a news release in that newsworthyness will mostly take second place to topicality and informativeness. Be aware of the difference and you'll have more success with publication of either.
