Over my DSL connection, this took more than 15 seconds to load. The home page consisted of 339KB spread across more than 30 files. Presumably, you do not want any traffic whatsoever from dialup customers, or even slow broadband. Your server does not make intelligent use of HTTP caching to make pages display quicker the second time around. For example, tranix_01.gif probably changes rather infrequently, but your web server does not tell clients that they can cache it for a year, a month, or even 15 seconds. Therefore, every time the same client views this home page, they must transmit a request to inquire whether or not tranix_01.gif has changed or not, and not start using it to draw until the answer comes back from your server. (Google for "<your server type> HTTP cache header" if you're unfamiliar.) The text is displayed in a teeny-tiny font, ignoring my IE setting of View|Text Size|Largest. Heh, a news item about how Nintendo DS may get free Wi-Fi at McDonald's is accompanied by a picture of a Sony PSP . You've stuffed various keywords in the Meta section, where they will do you little good, but practically none in your <title> element, where they could do you significant good. Your URLs waste easy SEO points. For example, going to the "Health" section gives me a URL that nowhere contains the word "health".
nice script, good concept as well with alot of fresh content getting scraped. Would be better if the site was either centered or expanded with screen resolution. Loads slow as well.
your survival key is UPDATING it's a very diffiicult job especially for a news site, updates should be by the minute
