This is pretty exciting news announced by Google today. Free Transaction Processing for Google Checkout until 2008 Google Checkout is now free for merchants until 2008. That means all of your Google Checkout transactions for the next 11 months will be processed at no cost to you. Google Checkout is a new alternative checkout process that works alongside your website's existing checkout process, kind of like what PayPal does. It allows the customers to use a single name and password to buy from you quickly and securely. The very good part, when they buy, you'll process their orders for free. Average transaction fee is like around 2-4% right? (i.e. business doing $100,000 could save $2000-$4000) Nice chunk of change now huh? Could pay for a new high-power laptop for us e-warriors! What are your thoughts about this??? This is really making me reconsider some merchant accounts and PayPal. I hope this information may help some of you who are considering about opening up an online ecommerce business and make it easier for you to do so. Less expense = more potential profit!
Yeah, I have to agree with you about that. I might try out Google Checkout; however, if everyone is going to be using paypal, I wonder if it's worth it.
