Windows 7 looks great. Microsoft has listened to most complaints by their customers. I'm waiting for the final release on October 22.

It's just the best cover-up after Vista's blunder that Microsoft could have had done !

So.... how exactly does Vista suck? Vista sucks resources? Or is your computer simply not up to the OS requirements.

Windows 7 is lot better than vista. Whatever pc you have, Vista consumes more resource than windows 7. Every other application, games etc runs smooth on windows 7 than vista.

Man you've been living under a rock or something. Document yourself until you make a fool out of ya. Vista sucks in so many ways. Omg, I don't even got the requested space here. But the main reason could be the uselessly use of resources and incompatibility issues with so many popular programs out there.

I don't believe they are making any computers that "does not support" Vista anymore. And I am not into buying second-hand comps. So chill out mate. You've got no point in here. Search for documentation and see how many complaints are for your "Vista" OS. You might better be with the XP Professional.

One of the Upgrade requirements is that you have 16gig of free HD space

I'm using Windows7 and it only takes 8GB of HDD and runs smoothly along with 512MB RAM and 1.6GHz. Windows7 automatically creates additional one partition of 100MB to keep system files. I recommended only Windows7.

My PC responses very slow when I try Vista but Windows7 is really awaysome and it's work very fast than Vista instead of having all the features of Vista on it.

So I think, Windows7 OS can be used even on 5 years old PC (P4 Series).

It’s a lot user friendly than vista. This day’s most of the users are using hard drives more than 160 GB so 14 GB of C drive space does not matter.

Agree, but I won't share such amount for an OS. I mean come on, that's about 20 CDs of movies or whatever. Not to mention how much music I could save on that space.

... it really matters for me :D
