I have some Ni-Mh AA batteries that are 3000 mAh. They sure seem to last a long time. However, I'm curious how long these last in relation to regular non-rechargeable AA batteries, for example. What would the capacity be of the best non-rechargeable AA battery today? 5000 mAh? 6000 mAh? More? I'm just curious how far rechargeable technology has come recently.
I have 4 rechargeable batteries for my digital camera. They don't last long at all. That's why I only use regular batteries for high powered items like my camera. I haven't found rechargeable batteries good for anything other than remote controls and similar small devices. Of course were talking AA batteries here not like the rechargeables in laptops and phones. There great!
Are you using NiCd or NiMH AA rechargeable batteries? And, what's the capacity on them? It should say right on the battery...
Its a Ni-Mh with 1800mAh-1.25V. They charge but only last 10 min when used in my camera. What type should I be looking for?
That's not a really great capacity and if they've been used for awhile they could have dropped off some. I've done some more searching and I've seen some that have more than twice the capacity - 3800 mAh. Try a google search for 3800 mAh: http://www.google.com/search?q=3800mah+AA That's currently the best capacity I've found, but there may be even better batteries out there. If someone knows of a higher capacity, please share.
