$100 a day would be nice, but I doubt you can earn i from just 1 source of income and 1 blog..
I think multiple blogs but not to many that you cannot keep up with and other sources of income
than Adsense on these different blogs would probably be more profitable.

    True Story:
I make $1,500 on one affiliate sale (legal site) :) It takes me about 2 - 3 days to close the sale. 2 sales a month bring me in $3,000. That is the equivalent to $100/day

So..... for me, I don't need 1,000's of visitors a day. I only need 3 or 4 serious inquiries.

Anyway... The purpose of my writing this is......... Yes... with creativity and the right products to sell and the right marketing, you can definitely make $100 or at least $35,500/year off of ONE blog.

-------but------ don't think you are going to make money off of a blog just by doing your average Joe blogging. If you are just going to write your one or two posts a day on a subject you love and think you are going to make money.... Sorry... It does not work that way.

That's not my point, I don't care what type of site it is. To claim that you can instantly turn on the faucet and create $500 a day in less than a week's time is pretty preposterous. That's pretty much claiming that in a year's time you could be making over 1.3 Million a year. I sincerely doubt it.

I don't question making $500 a day, that's not my issue. But, the attempt to trivialize that you can just create a site out of thin air, and instantly get enough traffic to be making $500 a day. I kind of doubt that.

For one thing, it has to come from adwords, because you won't get "situated" in Google for SEO in less than a few weeks. You'll be dancing in and out of the index. So, you've got to be getting that traffic from somewhere, so basically you'd have to pay for it, ie adwords.

Given the proper combination of exclusive/hot-off-the-press industry news and a massive amount of traffic/linkbacks, I've launched brand new sites and been fully indexed in Google in under 48 hours without spending a dime on Adwords, not once, but a handful of times. So I can first-handedly say that your argument is flawed.

It's not always about what you know or how much effort you put into promoting something. Sometimes it's who you know and when you know it that can make all the difference.

ExtremeHardware... If you create a new site and are utilizing a blog, you will be indexed by Google.... But..... many sites get sandboxed quickly afterwards because of their age.

Take advantage of the indexing while you have it :)

Never made a blog-based site other than my own personal blog. Never been sandboxed by Google either. If your content is quality, unique, and linked to by thousands of other high PR websites, you will not be sandboxed. Blogs are not good formats for making large websites/communities online. Most of my sites are custom-coded news portals, which focus on providing a community environment.

I'll leave it at that. I guess I have my techniques for making money online and y'all have yours, no need to argue about this. Lets get back on topic.

Unless you can really really concentrate and spend hours and hours and days and weeks promoting the site to get visitors and then to entice them to click.. for a noob you might not ( I HOPE YOU DO!) make the $100 a day.

Take the advice above. Start a blog , start writing and you can post in the Content section here to start writing content for others....

Theres many ways to make $100 a day! Im pulling $800 a month with various bits and pieces.. My Adsense account for last month was less than $5!

Small change of plans. I am now abandoning the $100 per day goal and aiming a little higher. After some some and discussion with a good friend; who has decided to join me in the journey, we have decided to launch http://www.100kperyearonline.com and use it as a journal of our journey from going from making $0 per year online to making $100K per year online. While we both realize this will not happen overnight, we are still greatly looking forward to the journey. I hope you will all subscribe and follow our journey and even post the odd comment here and there.

Thanks again for your interest in the $100 per day thread!
