i am newbie, i want to know what's different between Google PR and Alexa PR. Which one is better, because i see a website has google PR 2 but the alexa PR is 10 million. "All i know is if alexa PR stay in million it said that website never been update ?" is it true ?. and i also seen website google PR 2 but the website has poor link. Then how to get Good google PR and Alexa PR? Maybe you said that this is such a fool question. But for me better asking than miss everything. Thank you.
Put your trust in Google's analytic tools. Alexa ranking is debatable, it is not a reliable gauge of site traffic. For Google PR, that is a different issue. Site traffic is irrelevant to Google PR, that is Alexa's province.
There is no alexa PR dude... Pagerank has been trademarked by google(named by google co-founder Larry Page). Alexa rank is affected by number of visitors. Google PR is how Google respects you. domain PR is related to the both of quality and quantity backlink. Also maybe there is another factor that google count beside backlink for determining PR
so,, what you mean is alexa just popular website and that doesn't mean it's high quality, and google PR is reputable quality website. And google PR can build by making huge quality backlink and seo. That what i always read. Is it ?.
what you need to know is that both of them are useless and you should not even worry about either of them
Google have dropped their PR ranking and it does not mean anything in terms of ranking or search - on the other hand alexa is ranking on the hits and visits of the website - both have different function - but for me alexa still rules - as it gives the outline that website is receiving hits or not and where does the website stand - google pr is dead dont take care of this. Hope this helps...
If you must choose, then it's Google. As for PR, don't worry about it. Just get as may links as you can coming into your site. But if you want to make a major impact, go back over your content and make sure that it is not duplicated somewhere else on the net. If it is, Google will not count it.
Page Rank - PageRank relies on the uniquely democratic nature of the web by using its vast link structure as an indicator of an individual page's value. In essence, Google interprets a link from page A to page B as a vote, by page A, for page B. But, Google looks at more than the sheer volume of votes, or links a page receives; it also analyzes the page that casts the vote. Votes cast by pages that are themselves "important" weigh more heavily and help to make other pages "important". Alexa Rank - AlexaRank on the other hand is relevant when it comes to actual traffic numbers. While it won’t tell you anything about the quality of that traffic, or the source, you at least know there is traffic. If I come across a site with a high PageRank but I see a low AlexaRank I’m more inclined to think the site is “linking well†rather than generating traffic, although certainly both variables are interlinked. If both AlexaRank and PageRank are high then I’m more confident the site is popular and authoritative.
Google PR - measures google trust in your site, earned by other sites vote via back links Alexa Rank - measure of your site traffic as a combination of page views and number of unique visitors Google PR does not guarantee traffic. Alexa rank will not by itself give you PR.
The simplest comparison: Google PR is "link based". Alexa Rank is "traffic based". Of course, they are both flawed. I think that services like compete.com and quantcast.com are better measures of popularity.
Google PR is a ranking based on a sites popularity in the web, the more links and authority a site has the higher the pr. Alexa ranking is based solely on traffic received to your site from people who have the Alexa toolbar installed so its pretty flawed.
Google PageRank (GPR) and Alexa Traffic Rank (ATR) are two different measures of a website's success. As you know , simply speaking, GPR measures the number of links to the site, while ATR measures the site's traffic.
