    Hi All,

You all helped me when I was absolutely new (aka clueless) about selling CB products via article marketing. I still remember my very first sale and after that.. well.. there were many more to come - All thanks to expert advice and guidance by DP'ers :)
Now, I am planning to slowly wedge my way into PPC - It is darn scary but.. I am sure with help, I can get there. So, this is what I have so far...
    1. A landing page + niche that sells (tested via article marketing)
    2. Adwords Account - new - no credit yet
Now, do I buy coupons to start with or shell out few dollars and see how it goes ?
I want to start with lower bids..even few clicks a day are fine. I dont want to jump in with big $$$$ 's and lose the money.. rather be patient and learn via hit and trial.
    Any help/tips would be GREAT.

    Jo

I'd go with the vouchers. From my understanding adwords can get competitive if you don't know what your doing. You seem experience at IM so you might understand the basics of it all. Just remember its not as easy as it seems. Don't test with money you can't afford to lose. I'd say a $50 voucher should make you at least 2 sales with good keywords. Make sure you research keywords before sending your campaign live!

Do an evaluation estimation of your CPC and EPC.

    PS: I hope this helps.

If your Adwords account is less than 15 days old I'll hook you up with a $100 voucher. No strings attached. I'm awesome like that. PM me if you've got a fresh account Jo.

Sounds reasonable, and I would definitely advise caution, but perhaps in a different way - only that it can take a LONG time to get a decent amount of traffic with longer tail less competitive terms. If you can go for terms with a bit more traffic, but do the exact match: [keyword], then if that works I try it with phrase: "keyword", and then if that is positive then I open the floodgates with broad: keyword... this is not a rule, and sometimes if ""s don't go great I try longer tail "" type keywords until I (hopefully) get some that hit.

That obscure 5 string keyword may well convert very well, but it might take you a month to get 100 clicks, and at that level either a little good or bad luck (just 1 sale) can really mislead you one way or the other.

With the [] searches you can still keep control of your budget pretty well but should be able to get more exposure and test things a bit quicker -also if you have google analytics setup on your site you can see how the browsing stats compare to your site average (how many pages they look at and how long for), and this should give you either a little piece of mind that they are potential buyers, or alternatively that they probably aren't and you should try other keywords / adverts.

Oh, overall though I would recommend keeping FOCUS on all your adverts, and keywords - each of my adgroups only really has 1-4 different keywords in it mostly.

Hope this helps, that jump from articles to PPC can be scary, but can be really rewarding once you "get it" a bit :)

Id suggest just hitting it with ur own cash. I mean sure if you can get a VALID voucher use it but don't worry about new accounts with dif vouchers. It isnt worth it.

Once you have run a few different campaigns google will increase your chance at being shown up top of the list due to your previous campaigns. If you keep changing account you will lose this bonus.

Anyway... if you use your own money you will look harder at your campaigns. If you use vouchers it won't really clik in how much money you are spending until its to late :p
