Wow. I came here as I found the site looking for information on how to make a good landing page design. I am floored by what I have read. What a cool site and way above my comprehension at this point. I have an older site that I use along with a yellow page listing to promote my bricks and mortar business. I can see that there are many ways to make money here as well that are foreign to me. I do not understand "stumble" or "cj"--is there a glossary I can use? My aunt assures me that this is the new frontier and people who do not get on it are going to be missing the next best way to make money. She paid 10,000 USD for a "bootcamp" in which she was told that one easily makes millions on the net by marketing information and using PPC ads. I thought what the heck, I have a bricks and mortar (If I used B&M would people know what that was?) business and an underutilized website, why don't I try to get on this? What I have seen so far is discouraging: it looks to me like this is a sophoisticated kind of game and one must invest a lot of energy in developing strategies to try to beat it. Am I wrong? It does look like here is a good place to learn to play I have a million questions, like should a person who is interested in using some of these strategies have a separate site for ads? I am worried that I will lose people--that I paid good money to get to my site--to an ad if I put them there. And it looks to me like I am going to get a whopping .50 CPM on adsense which is not worth my time and especially not if they leave and don't make an appointment to see me cause an ad captured their attention. I don't get a thousand visitors a month to my bricks and mortar commercial page as it promotes my counseling service. WHere do total newbies start? mrhodes40

Gosh thanks everyone! I do feel welcome and was not sure if I was--you all seem like a young techie group, I am not young and not yet techie. I'm on my way though, Thanks!
