You might want to "soft-sell" your affiliate link by providing a review of the product itself. What is the product? What is your site about?
You can go to your domain registrar, do a domain redirect/forwarding to the affiliate link/url. If they provide domain masking, mask it. So in other words, You are forwarding bestwidgets.com to abcwidgets.com?reseller=john So when people click on bestwidgets.com, they go to abcwidgets.com?reseller=john, but they will see abcwidgets.com?reseller=john in their browser. If you MASK your link, they will see bestwidgets.com in their browser. Perfect to hide the affiliate link.
