    Hi guys,

In one of my emails today (i subscribe to a few :) ),

it said instead of trying to get no.1 in search engines for:

    "KEYWORD"

    try and get:

"North of KEYWORD" or "HOW IS THE KEYWORD" -- basicly targeting phrases with the keyword you want in, instead of going for the really hard keywords.

It didnt really say HOW to target these phrases in "speach marks", do you make a whole new article page with lots of the phrase on, or try to add it more to your home page?

Also, is there anyway of checking to see if the phrases are worth targeting? checking to see if its worth the time trying to get the top term.

    Cheers.

Can you post the article your talking about..

You can use Digital Point's suggestion tool

Check Google using "allinanchor:" and "allintitle:" to see how many seo/webmaster targets that keyword

Choose keywords that you think many looks for but with less competition from webmasters and SEOs

You can also use the 'Traffic Estimator' in the AdWords suite of tools - this will tell you how much advertisers are bidding for keywords and related keywords, which will give you a pretty good indication of which keywords should be profitable. You can use this tool for free - just sign up for an AdWords account (if you don't have one already), but don't activate it.
