this is probably dumb but..... I just dont know as I have never had an online store.

OK... great... .I have my dropshipper all lined up. I have my website, hosted and I just bought a shopping cart program (pick one of 100's that are out there)

Question#1: So now I have to find pictures of all 5000 items I want to sell on my website and upload them one by one, along with the descriptions, reviews, other assorted images, etc? That would take years imo..

There must be an easier way to do it no? What am I missing?

question#2: Now I have the website all perfect and set up.... and I am getting orders.. great. Do I just call the dropshipper and order directly from them? How does that work? and what about returns? Where does the customer return the merchandise.. to me or the dropshipper?

sorry for the dumb questions... I just searched and couldnt find answers.

    Thanks!

You need to ask your drop shipper that they offering you a feeds of the products and descriptions .. its will be much easier .. let me know if you need any help ..

You need to ask your drop shipper you choose .. its depending on the service they offering..

May be you must upload them one by one. It depends on the shopping cart program, you'd better ask your drop shipper.

You can try to visit Algozone. They have videos or their customer support can help you with your problem. They also have pre-made templates that can help you set-up your ecommerce site without any hassle.

You need to talk with your supplier, they need to give you everything you need to sale their products... If a dropshipper cant give you images of their own products.. thats messed up. you can also go to google, have someone google up those images for you. but just talk to him. he should have them or he should direct you to the person who may have them.

get the site started with the knowledge of dropshipper, and give him some powers in the site... so he can track the orders and fulfill them and you can pay his share.

Or else, Take the risk of doing all the things standing in the middle :). Get the returns, ship them to Dropshipper, Get the shipment from Dropshipper, Ship it to client... Ah.. Those blah blah stuffs would make your mad... Just go for the first option i said.. Make him know these.. well, he can have a good sales then.... so he wont be disagreeing :)

If you have good conection with your supplier tell him to attach your software to his inventory database. That would solve all your problems ( and mine to)
