Newbie Question Regarding PR5 and Above Directories

One of my website got PR 4 recently.
Now to increase my PR further, do I need to submit to PR5 and above directories only ?
If yes, Where do I get list of PR 5-7 directories which either accepts free regular link or charge minimum since I saw few PR 5 directories asking as much as $20 for acccepting link , is this normal ?

 

Either you submit to higher PR directories, or you massively submit to smaller directories ( but you will need a lot to reach a pr 5 , also massive submissions on a short period of time can be risky )

Another alternative is to build content for your site ( but then it's not a directory only ). If the content is good, people will naturally link to you.

I think it's going to be pretty hard to get PR5 just by submitting to free directories - even free pr5 directories often have low PR on inner pages.

If you don't want to buy links you can use some of the PR of your own directory (or other sites if you have them) to do 3 way (or reciprocal) links with other directories etc. That's the cheapest way to get links on PR2-5 pages.

 

PR5 directory is one thing. Placing your link on a PR5 directory page is another thing. So, you may want to look for PR6 or higher in that case.

 

Exatly. Is the page of your link and the amount of outbound links on the page that deflate the PR.

If you want to absolutely get at PR 5 or 6 or 7.... you're going to need to focus in this section and bring cash. You can find links on PR7,8, even 9s.

There you can purchase PR per link not link in a PR directory.

This is if you need PR.

For SERPS, you're probably off better paying via niche, and then submitting in bulk and saving your $ IMO.
