Newbie Question: Manual Submission vs. Software Submission

    Newbie question here:

I've noticed that there are a number of directory submission services here, but I can't help wondering why would I pay for the service since I can buy a software that submits my sites automatically?

Is there an advantage with manual submission vs. software submission? I'm thinking I can save some money by buying a software that does that for me.

Any info or advice would be helpful.

    Thanks!

Everything must be put into context, i can save money by mowing my own lawn, but while saving that $40 odd, i loose 5X that in what i could have made with my resources focused elsewhere.

In that and only my view, choose a quality submission service with a good record if you choose to go that way.

Automated submission software can't select a correct category. Incorrect category==instant delete.

    Thanks, all!

Would getting a manual submission service help my sites get out of the sand box?

Any recommendations for a cheap, yet reliable, submission service here?

Ive gotten alot of automatic submitions to my directory and I can usually tell there in the wrong category or they have nothing to do with anything. Like I have an adult directory and people are submitting hundreds of real estate sites OK not right and they listed under amateur usually this works the other way around. Adult sites spamming everywhere not real estate spamming adult?

If its the type of software that states that your site is submitted to 500,000 different search engines and directories (as some of them state) then their to be avoided.

As far as i know, there are softwares that help, not like the ones above, but ive never used any.

I would always suggest manual submission by yourself first, if you have that spare time, if not then i would suggest (although only using one before) to use a quality submission service, most likely from a number of members here at DP, plenty appear affordable, and ask all the questions you feel neccessary to do business with them.

Sure, you can autosubmit to many search engines. But why bother? If you start building links back to your Website, then the search engines will find you anyway. IMO, submitting to search engines is a waste of time.

There is no software on the market that submits to directories automatically. The best you can get is semi-automatically (typing in captcha). But then you are limited to the directories contained in that software's list (unless you import, etc.).

    Here's my advice...

Go to roboform.com and download their free form filler software. Setup the software so you can fill forms with once click. Once you are ready, find a list of directories to submit to and have at it. Just make sure to change your anchor text (title) and description ever so often.

You can also get more automation out of digixmas.com's software. It's nice, and it learns which categories you select. The cost is $15 per url you are promoting, and it submits to around 1100 free directories. The downside is that there are a good number of directories in that list that are dormant and not reviewing sites. And you still will likely find that you need a form filler to submit to new directories not found in the digixmas list.

    Good luck with your submissions

Avoid automatic and go with manual. Chose some great directories and vary your anchor and description.

    Best of luck,

If you need a form filler InformEnter is handy, im using that right now, there are others both free and paid and they seem cool too.

In a nutshell theres always ways of speeding up the process, ideally you want quicker but still with the flexibility to change Titles, Descriptions etc often.

Thanks Snowbird for referring to digiXMAS :D .

Only one correction: you don't need another form filler, because digiXMAS Submitter is equipped with build-in multiple browsers with smart form filler that much speed up submission process. For this mode, you don't have to pay anything. It's free!

Take a look at this screen shot in this free mode:

    Regarding to OP's question
There is no fully automatic submission tool that can maintain submission quality as manual, but semi-automated tool can do that. It means that you still have to spend couple of hours in submitting a site. Hire me! I'll do it for you and in the meantimes you can play golf or some thing else :D . Seriously, we offer submission service by our tool also and our clients know that their sites are submitted by software. But no body complains about submission quality :D .
    Thanks.

    Present Software. :)

    AllSubmitter.

You can create own Automatic and semi-automatic database.

You can in automatic -mode enter captcha and select RIGHT category for submission.

time several seconds... and fully controlled and right submission in AUTOMATIC MODE. with changed titles and descriptions.

Exactly right, automatic rejection and domain goes into the blacklist sometimes

I don't like using automatic submissions. Getting a lot of links all at once may cause a penalty.
