Hey Folks: Where do you get started in this? I have no delusions of grandeur, yet, about how much I'd like to make. Right now I need some basic questions asked without getting hit for another $27, or $77 more. I have acquired the infor (yes, even though I read not to on this forum) from Ewan, RJ, and Millionare League. All of it interesting. I'm not a real newbie to web design but net marketing yes. I"m getting the general idea but it is in how to get things going where I find myself lacking information. For every product I might want to become an affiliate for, do I need to have a separate domain name and web site (also web hosting)? So, for example, if I wanted to affiliate or support 20 products, am I needing 20 domains, and websites? The initial basic steps are what I find confusing. Also, can anyone recommend anything that would be informative, not cost another arm and leg, that isn't a repeat or rehash of what is already out there. Many thanks in advance. dhaviland
Is it ok or not ok to put related products on the same page? Do affiliates that ask to see your page before authorizing you get testy to see a competitors product on the same page? Like vitamins from one vendor and an ab machine from another? dhaviland
You don't have to buy a domain for each product you promote. You can buy a generic domain name (like greatest-products-that-can-be-found-on-planet-earth.com) and use subdomains or directories in them for each product. If you work with ClickBank you don't have to ask for permission from the publisher (you are the affiliate). Other networks, like Commission Junction, may require you to get an approval before advertising a certain program. And yes, they may look at your website. But after you get their approval you can promote them all on the same page (as long as it doesn't violate their terms, and it usually doesn't). For another source of information use experience. Just start doing something. You can always come here and ask questions if you have any. But start doing something. Good luck, nadavs
