I know what MySpace is and what is it all about. What I dont understand is how people are making money from it. I see peole buying and selling myspace profiles, friends, etc. How is this making someone money?

It's called SPAM. Building fake profiles, getting 1000s of fake friends with a bot, and throwing links at them

personally I think it's a flash in the pan, soon to be extinguished

MySpace is already beginning to put filters in place to prevent this crap

Most of the time if you buy an account, it's going to be a phished(Stolen) account.

Well, it is actually against MySpace Term of Service to trade in MySpace accounts. With that said, don't bother buying or selling your lists.

The only people who can legally make money on MySpace are Myspace itself and the Bands who use the platform to sell their music.

if you are into online business for long term then I don't think this is a good field, yeah you can find many guys selling/buying myspace accounts but like its mentioned above its against the myspace TOS. Though you can always form a group around your interest or business and get some exposure there but then again that kind of traffic is not considered of good quality by YPN and google adsense so it would suit only amazon kind of sites.

What about the people selling MySpace bulletins? I guess this means if they post a bulletin about your site then those MySpace friends get notified?
