You get it wrong getting PR 1 doesn't mean your site will be no 1 in google.

Page Rank is the number given by google in terms of quality of a site. The quality of a site is determined by content, theme related quality backlinks and navigation of a website.

Higher the PR means higher the quality of a website in eyes of google. To know more about it, I suggest you to search for what is PR or page rank?

I am sure your confusion will clear.

Yep. A high page rank doesn't mean that you are no1. I have high PR sites that gets less visitors than the low PR ones. Google updates PR quarterly but lately I have noticed faster.

Page rank 1 doesn't mean assurance first page position in search engine rankings. It's just one of many ingredients for SERP, but it's still an ingredient.

PR(Page Rank ) is a numerical value assigned by google to every page on the internet based on its quality. PR is different from Search Engine Ranking. To get in top results you need to build quality backlinks, quality content, improve the trust & credibility to the visitors.

Pagerank has nothing to do with position one...

    Consider this...
If you register a domain named "dseersxtyu.com" I guarantee you that within a few days you will come up number 1 and stay there for the search term "dseersxtyu".

PR and SERPS are two very different things... SERPS position has to do with competition for a keyword or term...

A lot of roars were running online a couple of years ago, especially among the people buying and selling text links merely because of their PR values but gradually, PR lost values and importance regarding determining the rankings and placements of the websites.

Based on the link popularity of a webpage, Google assign a value to every webpage it crawls to determine the importance of the page. This value is known as Page Rank.

Hey, you got it wrong completely.
PR stands for Page Rank of your site.
If you are with a PR 1 site then doesn't have much value - but if you have a PR 5 , then it's a good one. And one more thing, no site would get a PR above 10. That's because PR is a measure by which google ranks sites out of 10.
Hope you, understood something about PR.
And for getting into the first page of google, for a certain keyword, (just the PR won't do it ). Consider the below things :-
1- Try to develop good content in your site with the keywords that you are targeting. Those keywords should be like 2-5 % in it.
2- Develops backlinks (as many as you can - BUT - don't spam - google is getting better and better - so do only things that looks natural and legal )
3- Try buying signature links, links on related blogs/websites etc - if you are with a good budget.

and if you don't have a PR, then you don't have enough backlinks or you need to wait a while. I did a massive rebuild of one of my sites and it took about 4 months for PR to come back -- and the same content pages didn't necessary have the same PR as before.
