I've just set up a Paypal account and really don't know much about it. I've managed to far to accept a $25 payment no problems except that I was charged about $1.50 I'm guessing for a processing fee. I've got someone who wants to set up a monthly payment... do any of you know if I can allow this on the basic Paypal account? Apparently there's a way to set up a 'recurring subscription button'? Will they charge a fee for each deposit that's made? If I upgrade my account is there a way to get rid of processing fees or are they a fact of life? Thanks! Kirsty
Yes, they will charge a fee for each successful transfer into your account. If you just set up your paypal account, it would be best to get it verified as soon as possible so that you can continue accepting funds and be able to withdraw them as and when needed. Paypal is a For-Profit company and it earns an income by charging a processing fees, part of which would go to the Credit Card Company while they retain a small portion for themselves in order to stay afloat. For the Schedule of the fees, prefer to https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_display-pop-fees-outside Upgrading does not remove the processing fees. Just take it as the cost of doing business. To accept Recursive Income, Login to your Paypal Account then click on Subscriptions and Recurring Payments to do that. You basically need to upgrade to a Business or Premier account to accept this.
