    Hi
I am newbie into affiliate marketing and have no clue where to start. Since 2-3 yrs I have tried to think to get started but am not getting a topic to go after.

Well I would like to start something which provides good support for affiliates like expedia travel sites.. or something. So that I can spend more time on marketing rather than making the websote. I am not too good on websites

can anybody suggest how should I get started. I am open to any topic. Not sure should i go after items like travel or items like selling clothes, promotion items etc

    can any one help me?

I have decided to spend following:
    Website- around $400
    Google adwords- $600
seo and rest- will do it myself

guidance pls. I always see people saying they make xyz but how? ( I know its hard work) but still need some guidance?

If you are just started out I dont think you should spend so much money. Maybe try and focus on free traffic methods instead of Adwords. Here are just some of the Free traffic methods you can utilize.

    Backlink Building
    Article Marketing
    Press Releases
    Forum Marketing
    Classified Ads
    Blog Commenting
    Social Marketing
    Guest Blogging
    Twitter Marketing
    Video Marketing
    Viral Marketing
    Free Download Websites
    Create a Facebook Like Page
    Writing Product Reviews .
Participate in Yahoo Answers & get Exposure for your Website

As for building the website, you can do it yourself even if it is your first time. It may take longer but the experience is so fun once your done and you look back on it.
Create a site with Wordpress very easily, if you need themese do a google search for Woothemes they have good free ones.

All your website needs is some content and On- Page SEO, if you are not familiar with SEO a quick search on here or Warrior Forum will lead you the right way.

If you do 30 minutes of every one of the traffic methods I stated every week you will be getting some nice traffic to your website in no time.

All you have to then is have a opt-in form on your website ready to build your list and start sending them offers.

I agree that you shouldn't invest any money into Adwords right away. It's extremely competitive and most new affiliates won't be able to compete until they've developed a complete, well-established website (with free traffic helping to offset the high PPC costs).

Obviously, there are lots of opportunities in affiliate marketing. But personally, I've always went after the most profitable (and most competitive) niches since this is where the BIG MONEY can be made. The most profit potential definitely exists in the health and financial-related niches. In particular, I've done extremely well with payday loans and credit cards (see my sig).

Many established affiliate programs will provide support with creating websites. You'll often find templates and data feeds to help supply content. But be careful about using too much provided content or cookie-cutter template websites. If you do, your website will never rank well in search engines because there's nothing unique or valuable to visitors. If you use these tools, be sure to surround the content with your own unique content and information. I would highly suggest trying to learn some basic web design skills (get Dreamweaver!) or consider applying some of your budget into developing a website -- rather than investing into advertising right away. Unless you have a high-quality, useful website -- you'll just be wasting money on advertising...

Pick a niche and evaluate the competition. This is a good first step to plan out your website...
