Newbie needs help with website!!

    My website is www(dot)ibyte(dot)com(dot)au however, when I search google, the link comes up as my host url and not the actual url. why??

    It looks fine to me when I search. I am using Chrome. However, if you are still having a problem, there are a couple of possibilities as to why your host URL is showing instead of your URL. You may have uploaded your page to the wrong folder or you may have the wrong file name for your page. There are several other possibilities as well. This post has some good guidance on the subject:

    Hi,
    to me when I search your site the actual url comes up. I am using Opera. If this problem is only with you then you can try clearing cookies and emptying temp folder as it could be a problem with your cookies and stored data.

    when I google my url, yes I can see the actual url but if I just google iByte Australia, on the second page I see my website but it shows my host url.

    I see what you meant. It also looks like the host url doesn't switch to your actual url upon visiting the link. In this case I would suggest contacting your hosts as to me it looks like a redierection trouble on their part.

    check the cach page, maybe google hasn't index your site totally.

    the hosting from where you got your hosting space.
