My current domains are registered at mysitespace's service, mydotnames(.net) and I am not impressed! They also charge about 13.95 per domain that's ridiculous. If I get one of these domain accounts you guys speak of, can I push my current domains over to that company just before II renew them at mydotnames? Can I push them over now without paying more? That would be even better? Any recommendations on good companies to go with would be great. I appreciate the recommendations and if I decide to go with one of your suggestions I will happily use your affiliate link if you have one. Thanks in advance!
www.regfly.com is best i have used. and also www.yoursdomain.com is nice. i am using both of them. if u want cheep rates at yoursdomain.com please PM me. thanks
I'm using eNom and I'm very happy with everything they offer. If you would like to get an account, let me know and I can get you set up with one. Just drom me a PM.
i'd recommended you go with; dotster[.com] godaddy[.com] you can transfer out your names to any registrar you want...whenever you want -- just do so before the name expires.
I'm happy with godaddy. I think they have the best quality/price relation you can have. You can transfer your domains to them quite cheap ($6.95 for .com, including 1 year of registration).
My recommendation is also GoDaddy - they're cheap, have an excellent domain management area, and I've always found their technical support to be reasonable.
godaddy.com 2 reasons: 1 - cheap 2 - big player, won't just go away like some of the smaller guys might
i would also say godaddy.com, never had a problem with them and they are well established so unlikely to just disapear
yes, going with godaddy is a safe bet...won't be going away -- ever. they have close to 9,000,000 domains currently registered with em. not bad huh? they are the largest registrar on the net, network solutions comes in 2nd with 6.7m domains and enom is third with 4.5m
Thank you for all of these great recommendations. I think I'm going to go GoDaddy because they have very affordable dedicated servers and by the time my current 2 years of hosting on my biggest site runs out I'm going to want it, that way I can have all my "stuff" in one place.
only downside to godaddy hosting is they dont have fancy things like cpanel and stuff, but if your experienced in the web enviroment then you'll be ok. on the plus side of things they have very tight security and stuff.
you can reg .com for $4.19 from godaddy now. somebody posted on this at our forum (see my signature).
