Newbie looking for the Holy Grail

A warm hello to all at DP.

I'm a real newbie I'm afraid. This is my first venture into the forum world so I've a lot to explore. I have just retired as an Engineer and started a WordPress website, kingsolutions.org.uk. The website is aimed at newbie's like me and gives tips and advice on WordPress and eCommerce. There's not a lot to see at the moment, only a couple of dozen pages. I do not sell anything and everything is provided free.

Why am I here? I haven't searched DP yet, but I was told by a friend that DP is the place to go for all kind of help and information relating to eCommerce so I can learn a little more (a lot more needed really).

My plan at the moment is to take a couple of weeks and simply look around DP to discover what all these smiley icons and button mean/do and just generally browse.
