Hey everyone... I am launching my first site in what I think is a solid niche... im not really concerned with anyone "stealing" my niche as i dont have any idea what im doing anyways and for all I know it could be completely over saturated. I put the whole site from start to finish in about 6 hours today. 6 hours includes: domain registration, hosting set up, word press install, design elements including better affiliate banners, affiliate links, pages, email signups set up, google apps set up, and two articles that i wrote from scratch. GetYourBandARecordDeal.com any feedback or suggestions are incredibly welcome if I can figure this out and make any sales I'll feel like it was at least a good learning experience...
Cool-looking site. It's time to start promoting, so you get some real-life feedback from your prospects.
Looks good, very easy on the eye. One thing I would suggest is to have a large subscription sigh-up form just above where your advertising is, so it is visible to all viewers, building a solid contacts list is a great way to further promote your product.
You site looks great. However, I think you are going after the blogging modole where you need a lot of traffic to convert. As I see, you are mainly focusing getting your visitors to click on your banners. I think it would be better if you at least review each product or create a pre-sell for each product and keep at one post page page. This way when someone gets to your site they will have very few decision to make. They either take you up on your offer or they leave. Another thing I suggest is that you add an optin and give away a free report to your visitors. Start building a list from now!
very nice site, I would highly recommend adding an opt-in box to the right side bar instead of only a tab at the top
It's a nice design for a wordpress based website, however it doesn't really put much focus on selling the customer, or pre-selling I should say. Blogs usually work in such a way that you build up a reader base and when you want to monetize that reader base you can write an honest review of a note worthy product, and then through trust and loyalty you'll end up with a pretty decent conversion rate.
You definitely need to create a killer report or video that you offer with an opt-in. Use the Aweber hover or lighbox opt-in which works well on blogs. Set it to show up after 30-45 seconds so people have a chance to start seeing your content before they are interrupted with the opt-in. I would write at least 10-20 emails and stack them in the autoresponder so they automatically go out to your readers with good content. In one of my niches, we have over 100 pre-programmed emails that go out to over 80,000 subscribers. Doing this eliminates the constant deadline pressure - and consistently sending on the same day earns you trust points with your readers. You can mix in promotions with your content, but do it infrequently. You may be able to get a freelancer to write these for you pretty cheaply. Good luck, Jeff Mulligan
