Newbie (Joomla)

    Hi,

    I am noob when it comes to joomla as i have always been working with ASP and was ignoring php, but now a days everywhere php is in demand.

    So as i am going to start working on php, hopefully i will take some classes, what should i do, should i wait till i learn php

    or i should start working on joomla ? php knowledge is not required ?

    Any video tutorials for joomla for a noooooooooob :)

    Please advice:)

    Check out Lynda.com they have a joomla dvd there and i am sure you can find it somewhere.

    It is good for newbies and will help out heaps.

    Small php needed html will be fine :)

    if you want to make your own module or component, php knowledge still required in joomla CMS :) ...joomla is like oracle dbase ..you can choose your module or component suits your need ..

    I don't know anything about php and I have a good joomla site up and running. It wasn't that hard but I did get a fatal error and have to go back to a save. That was because I found an upgrade to a plugin and did not uninstall the origonal one first so pay attention to the instructions.
