newbie, how do i get listed on search engines

    how do i get it listed in the major search enginees?

    Your on your way now, just keep hanging around here posting something useful and search engines will pick your site up. Try to get a link on a good listed website, i would help you out here but we only accept pr4 sites,,, sorry.

    1. get meta tags created
    2. robots.txt and a sitemap.xml for google
    3. try validating your pages
    4. submit to google, yahoo, msn for a start, all of them have a "add url" page
    5. submit to "seo friendly directories"

    you must find some backlinks. google and the other will find your pages

    Do not submit your site to search engines. Try building links to your site from directories and other sites instead :)
