Do a domain name hosted in a name server means I registerd that domain? Or should I register it seperately?

You should register your domain name yourself. The Domain name that you see in Nameservers is not yours it is of The Hosting provider.

    Thanks.

a domain name is registered with a "registrar"
the one registering a domain name then is called "registrant"

such registering of domain names can be done thru a number of different registrars such as networksolutions.com and many hosts including domain names in their hosting packages as well.

a nameserver-entry is only valid if that domain name really exists and is registered in your name BY YOU at a registrar!

    Thanx for your reply.
Now I have registerd a domain. By the time of registration they have asked for a name server. Any way I skipped the step. Now the domain is active (But the site is still not available;may be bcoz i skipped the name server)and I updated the name server with that of my sites. How long will it take for my updation to be active? When will my site available via my domain?
    :)
