Newbie Here!!!!!!!!

    Hi,

    This is my first post. I am new to SEO and google analytics. Can anyone tell me how i can use the google analytics effectively. It will be more helpful for me if you explain this in detail. Thanks in advance.

    Welcome newbie ;-)

    Start to focus on these four parts:
    -Do your amount of visit increase or decrease week for week?
    -Where does your traffic come from? Take a look in "All trafficsources"
    -Optimize on the bouncerate. Look on toplandingpages - and find out which haves the highest bouncerate. Optimize these pages.
    - Setup a goal - what do you want the users to do? make this a goal and look at the conversion rate for this goal, both in total and segmented.

    Add your analytics code in the header of all the pages you have. If you are running server side pages then you have different code and for simple html pages you have a different one. This will help you keep any eye on your web stats for how and from where visitors are reaching your site. The trend and all features are simply great.
