Hi im a complete newbie just trying hard online. i have a website about deals and offers which is basically a wordpress blog and i have thesis installed on it. I have seen that my competitors have their tags pages being shown up in google and they have been getting a lot of traffic because of that. at the moment my robot meta tags settings are noindex- sub,tag,author,day,month,year index-category nofollow- tag,author,day,month,year follow-sub, category this is not a regular blog where landing on a post page is always better considered better than on a tag or category page.so i do want my tag pages to come up in search results. at the same time i do not want any issues with duplicate content. can u plz help me whether tags should be index and follow or index and nofollow. if i index them should i noindex the categories. all the post r divided into about 3 categories thanks
all the index & pages, posts should be indexed and do follow. You can add plugins for SEO for better results.
