    Hi Guys great site.

1 month ago to the day I set up a sports/ sports gambling discussion forum.

    www . sportspunters.com

It is going very well, and due to a lot of contacts I have, word of mouth has really helped us. We now have over 280 members after only 1 month.

The site is fairly busy, most of the week, and I get a decent amount of hits.

I am aiming for 1000 members within 6 months, and am well on course for this.

However, this is my first project of this type, all the designing etc was done for me, and although the forum is fairly cheap to run, I still am yet to make a penny from it.

All I ask is that I make enough to cover the costs, plus perhaps a few quid for comps etc...

I am looking into Adsense, but as I am a gambling site, I doubt they will accept me.

What are my other options? I already have affiliate banners, but to be honest, they are a waste of time.

Plus any other suggestions for the site would be great.

    Cheers.

AdSense is probably your best bet. Do you have any non-gambling sites you could apply with?

I read the rules and they do seem to frown on gambling sites.

Technically i am a sports discussion forum, but it is gambling orientated.

No one can place a bet on my site, but there are bettign related articles on their.

A guy I know has a gambling forum, and he says he makes cash from "Pay for ads! And revenue share bounties"

He is away for 2 weeks, but do you know what he means?

You could always try to apply for AdSense, worse they could do is say no.

    I have applied Shawn.

If they say no, what are my other cash making options, other than affiliates.?

Sell advertising directly I suppose. Clicksor is another option. They don't pay as well as AdSense, I use them for some AdSense fillers.

    cheers Shawn.

It seems like a different way of using affiliate methods to me, but i will look into it more.

    Cheers.

It's pay per click (like AdSense).

I've seen the Clicksor ads run on the Forum occasionally. Can you insert these as alternate ads in the AdSense code?

And if so, how? I downloaded their code. How would I reference it in the AdSense code?

I figured it out. I justed saved the file and then called it from within the AdSense code.

I think the Clicksor ads look more attractive than Allfeeds. Has anybody compared the amount of money each pays?

Clicksor seems to pay about $0.05 per click for some of my terms. Others would be higher of course.

You can try facebook. If facebook ads don't work try buyselltrade

(i know this reply probably won't help, I just wanted to revive the thread that hasn't been used in 8 years... this thread was made when I was 5).
