    Hi all

I would really appreciate some general advice on ClickBank, Its my first week of affiliate marketing.

    1. Hops. I assume these are hits on your hoplink. But does 10 hops equate to 10 customers accessing your link? Or can 1 customer click 10 times within your target website, to produce 10 hops?

    2. I have had a terrible start. 382 hops and no sales! I have promoted two sites, and obviously I am doing something wrong. I am using the google content network in my adwords campaign to direct traffic, and I am thinking that this traffic is not as qualified. Any thoughts?

Here are the hoplinks for the two products I have been promoting:

Any feedback or advice would be much appreciated, thanks in advance.

The first thing I would do is stop your campaigns. Unless you know what you are doing, adwords can beat you to death. I don't know how much research you have done on it, if any.

Not trying to tell you what to do, but you at least need to learn the basics before jumping in. There are right ways and wrong ways to set up your adgroups, keywords, landing pages, write your ads etc etc. How your ads relate to your landing pages plays a large part in determining how much you will pay for a click.

It really isn't that difficult and it will save you tons of money just learning the basics.

Now, if you still want to continue, turn off the content network. At least until you have some experience under your belt. Depending on what you are promoting and how your are promoting a product makes a difference on wether or not you want to use the content network. Some people have success with it, but most will tell you it is just trash clicks you will get.

    Good luck,
    Zeek

What I want to say is that you start with free method to start. Like articles, blog promotion.

I have had longer dry spells than 382 hops in a row before, so wait until you have 1k+ hops before you start getting worried. If you still haven't made a sale by that point, do some research to see if other people promoting the same products are having any trouble converting sales.

If others are converting just fine, then check your own sales tactics to see if you are truly getting high quality traffic (people likely to buy that specific product).
