Newbie Goals for 2010... Posting to Introduce Myself and to *Stay Accountable*

Hello DPers,
My name is Dawn Robinson I live in Tampa FL, and I am an internet newbie.

I am a brand new mom as of Feb 4 2010, and am now looking to make a big change to WAHM status...

I had originally planned on going back to work when he was 6 weeks old, but that is getting pretty close, and I really don't want to leave him!

So, he is my inspiration for pursuing a full time income online, and this post will serve as my accountability

I am considering a few different options... creating products, services, etc. and I am leaning heavily towards article writing. I really enjoy writing, and think I could do a great job at it. My goal is to write 5000 articles of about 250 words each by April 1st, 2010 with the help of voice recognition software.

Any suggestions for making this transition smooth? Any ideas on good (free) products for article writers? What is the best (free) software for voice recognition/typing?

I will be updating this post daily on my progress, any feedback will be appreciated and thanked!

Dawn - hello, welcome and congrats on being a new mom. Just out of curiosity how to do think making 5,000 articles at 250 words each (1,250,000 words in 19 days and/or 65,789.473 words per day - WOW) will make you money? I am assuming you are going to sell the articles, but what do you think you will get for them? Just curious and good luck!

 

Yikes, I think April 1st was a little ambitious... I didn't realize it was March already, heh heh... time moves in 3 hour blocks between feeding for me these days. I'd like to amend that to June 1st

5000 articles in 81 days... 62 (250 word) articles per day... I think I can do that with the help of voice recognition software... and if I do begin to have a backlog I can always close my thread until I catch up. Excellent customer service is important enough to me to recognize when I'm taking on to much... Also, writing articles as a service will be new to me, but article writing is not. I am an expert author over at Ezine Articles.

As far as price, until I build up a brand name I will probably start out with a cheap special offer... something like .70 per 100 words, and increase it from there as I build up a following.

What do you think? Am I aspiring to do too much?
