Newbie getting in the Game - Chicago

Hello everyone,

I spent an hour reviewing this site and feel privileged to be in the presence of such great minds. I am 41 years old and trying to find enjoyable work. I feel that online marketing would be the most rewarding for me. Like many others I struggle with trying to earn a full time income. In the late 1990s I had a very profitable online business, but the online area is quite different today.

There is just so much information on this site and others that I just don't know what to do or which way to turn. I have a website at www.myurbanevents.com that targets African Americans in Chicago. I also have a number of other dormant sites. I am just trying to earn 2000.00 a month right now. I have no job and no income. I have tried MLM and just want a business with minimum human interaction.

I am just learning about Ebay Affiliate program. I am only earning less than $1.00 a day with Google Adsense.

I feel like I am stuck in the 1980s while many are ahead of the learning curves and trends.

So if anyone has any advice on how to get started so that I don't have to read every message in the forum, I would be grateful.

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome. T.J.... your advice is appreciated. I was mentally everywhere. I am going to keep a journal and write down all my goals and objectives. I have my own website that I am trying to grow and promote, but not making any fast money from it. I need fast money to stay above water here. So I am going to try the Ebay thang. I will also look at clickbank to learn about it as well. But I will just try the Ebay Affiliate program since that is what brought me into this site.
