Hello everyone, I have written some content which more than a few people have deemed it would do great on ClickBank. My problem is that I have never done anything of the sort and have no clue where to start. Assuming I have the ebook completed and finalized. Then, what? What needs to be in place, initially, to make for a success product? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
You will need to create a landing page for your product this will be your pitch page. Then if you want to go with clickbank, you should sign up and create an account with them. You will provide them with all the information that they need. If they approve you will then need to test out your site to make sure that it converts so that affiliates will want to promote your product. It would also be wise to create an affiliate page where you give the affiliates different tools to promote your product like banners, keywords for ppc, ads, articles about your product and perhaps even landing pages. To get a better picture take a look at what other vendors are doing in clickbank, simply browse around in clickbanks marketplace. If you are looking to partner up with someone on this or if you need help then you can contact NCMedia on this forum.
Thank you kindly SEO - always appreciate you looking out for partners, I am going to reward you somehow for this kind gesture as you've done it a few times now. Feel free to PM and I'm going to give you a free copy of my ProjectWealthy product for being so genuine. Jason please check the first sig link, PM me or just call my studio 416-255-0606 and we can discuss your options. It is important that you develop and package a successful launch before you announce the product, which is much more important than simply understanding the technical aspects or getting someone to put together your sales/thank you page... at any rate, ball is in your court, I look forward to your response. Norb.
Thank you both for your recommendations. I will be AFK for a few hours, but I will check out your site, NCMedia, and most likely give you a call by the end of the day.
I am thinking about creating a product as well, but I think the only thing that I will be able to do myself is the ebook. I would like to know if there people who provide support on how to create an ebook cover and suitable website. (also how much does all these cost) Thanks
No problem this is what the forum is all about, help, advice and support. WOW this is a very nice gesture, I really appreciate it. Look out for my PM.
Get yourself any of the free ebook templates out there, load them into Word. Makes the book look very professional. i am pasting a section of my http://ebookprofits.superiorbits.com It has to be PDF – but look how easy this is I never was really a “friend†of Adobe’s PDF format – but there is no way around that our book, in its final form will be distributed as PDF. When I started writing $7 reports and I had some of them only in .DOC format I got a lot of surprised faces. Not only does this look highly unprofessional – it also makes it look like you didn’t even want to put in that little extra work to convert your finished.DOC file to PDF. Every time I get one of those reports in MS Word .DOC format now I think for myself that the author might have written that ebook in 10 minutes or less…so this already implies low quality, be it true or not. For some bizarre reason there are countless programs available for “PDF conversionâ€â€¦some of them even expensive. There are also countless web sites where you can upload your finished book in .doc format, it gets converted and then by email sent to you as .pdf When I was still using this method I was exclusively using https://www.pdfonline.com/convert_pdf.asp which of course is free. I tested many stand-alone applications and online-conversion methods, and I found that all of them have problems converting certain links in your book. In reality this will result in that you might have links in your book, but those are not clickable from within the converted PDF. But – there is a far, far better, quicker and easier method to make your book into a 100% functional, flawless PDF: If you work with MS Office (like I do), Microsoft itself offers a free plugin called SaveAsPDF. or SaveAsPDFandXPS . You just install those plugins, and once installed you can save and convert anything you write to PDF - right from MS Word ! Needless to say this incredible convenient since it saves time. You don’t neet to upload your Word document to any of those conversion web sites and wait for the email – and the best: Those PDFs are flawless and all links work 100%! ----------------- SNIP ---- And, very important: Looks are everything!! Get yourself a cover creator like "Virtual Cover Creator" or "3dProductBox 2007" and make nice covers, like: or there are even some free ones
Just to put a spanner in the works here - "which more than a few people have deemed it would do great on Clickbank". This statement is the basis of you wanting to create a product? Let me assure you that you have a very long way before you can even start to think about creating a product. I say this for several reasons. The first being that "content" on Clickbank on its own isn't worth ANYTHING unless it sells. That means sales letters, launch plan and all the rest of it. If your product is good but your sales copy and sales proposition sucks then I'm sorry you'll have a failure on your hands. Also - you've got to think about whether the target market needs the product. There's no use putting out "great content" that no-one will find a need for and so not purchase from you... no matter how hard you sell it to them. Secondly, do you actually know the market? Have you got a rapport in the marketplace? Have you got a brand? Without those things, the likelyhood of even making the project a meagar success are remote to say the least. People buy on trust and if they don't trust you because you've put out a shitty "free ebook template" ebook then it's going to be a FLOP before you start. If you're not "active" in the marketplace, then I strongly suggest that you start up a blog and post quality posts of over 1,000 words every single day. This will not only build you a subscriber list and traffic, but it will give you a platform to launch from AND more importantly a brand that people will recognise and warm to. Adding value is the key to profits in this business and if you can give your "future customers" as much free information as possible, then your product will be a winner. Period. Thirdly, do you know the competition? Have you bought their products? What do they offer? How do they treat their customers? How will you be competative? I know it might sound dumb, but become an affiliate for your future competition. See what sells and what doesn't and then copy the parts of the products which you believe do sell. ...man there's so much to write but I don't think you will take it all on board. If you need more info just PM me okay?
When you finish reading these long posts, you just start thinking that being an affiliate is much easier. However, this not true, because affiliates start making money when they have a good website, or a blog, or a campaign in PPC, etc, etc. Same with publishers. They start making money, when they SUCCESSFULLY launched a product. Both of the steps for affiliates and publishers are really difficult, but you have to choose your way and do everything to reach your goals.
its important to DO it. This is the most important thing. And not look at the "obstacles" first. I agree, there is a huge deal involved...but more afterwards in my opinion, that is for promotion etc..etc... But....look, alone here on the forum is a good way to try to promote and sell.
make sure everything is perfect before you release it and ask affiliates to promote it. if its a make money online product you should talk about it a bit before you release to create a buz. you should also give away free copies for review and make the first 20 or so sales 50% off etc. start getting subscribers asap. when your ready to release, broardcast your subscribers that you will release the product tomorrow and tell em to get excited.. give them a discount... or atlease, make it look like they are getting a bargin. everybody loves a bargin. if you have 500+ subscribers and you dont make any sales after doing this... fix your sales page, try a new angel, add another bonus etc.
Wow, I just got back online and seen the wealth of advice posted here. @GeorgR. I have Adobe Acrobat, so it won't be too hard to generate the .pdf. Do you recommend any encryption or permissions set on the document before it is deployed? @popedope The content is beginner level SEO related and the information is immediately useful, so I'm confident that it will spark an interest. I run a web directory, article directory and a blog so I have a XX,XXX base list to market to initially. As for competition, I searched ClickBank and did not see anything like my concept except one. I believe my content will be of much better quality. @Swerd Good idea to market to a segment of my list before going after everyone. @NCMedia look forward to contact sometime tomorrow Thank you all for advice and guidance. I am getting more confident with this project.
Jason, i dont even use Acrobat, but i assume its possible. I can totally skip this since i just save to PDF right from within Word I actually never cared about encryption/permissions...but this doesnt mean it wouldnt be wise to do so to avoid people altering your work. My focus is more on the end point then, on my sales pages to secure the link with DLGuard so people cant spread the links in warez forums. DLGuard makes it also extremely easy to implement the various payment options and downloads, not matter whether yo uplan going on clickbank, sell via paypal or a bunch of other processors. Well..once the book is finished...Work A is done. Now....you could start pre-sales on forums, or mail out lists and create hype....create a buzz about your product. While you do this start on part B, creating the site! I personally use PLR templates or now any of my existing sites where i take the layout and then make a new site/sales letter fro the product. Those kinds of sites are "relatively" simple since they only need one main sales-page, then a thank-you/download page, your "contact us" and "privacy policy". If web design is over your head (not everyone is a web designer) you can always outsource and pay someone to design a sales page for you, maybe someone here on the forum. Then put your payment links on it and the product for download....Bingo! Edit: YES i am aware i make it sound easy. The truth is that THIS part could indeed be easy. But the REAL success then is in the marketing itself, maybe through partnership with someone, mailing out lists, collecting emails in a list, promoting, blogging about the product and "get the word out" about the product.
