I guess you need atleast 2 different IPs for a valid set of nameservers. Though 1 IP will do, but some domain registrars don't allow the same IP to be used for 2 nameservers.

What control panel do you have? "bind" or "named" is responsible for nameservers and domains.

    DirectAdmin is a wise choice!

Nameservers for the main domain (admin) is already configured on DA.
For other domains, Goto the reseller level > Nameserver Management > Select the IP(s), tick virtual nameservers and submit.
