I have been using optigold for a couple years... never implementing the really cool stuff - but using it for billing etc... FMv5 / win2000 /

recently had a problem with "script not found" upon startup - turned out to be a corruped "mainmenu.fp5" file. Fixed and launching again - but all payment history is gone - so all my customers appear to be thousands of day past due. Looking at the invoice history seems to be correct - and even shows invoices paid correctly... just no actual payments listed. Please help. It's late and I've got 2 quarters to bill... ;)

    Thanks.

You could try to recover all your data files (.fp5 files). When you do that, watch the stats at the end for any data corruption.

Did that - to no avail. It claims it recovered fine, and shows no errors - but yet the data is not displayed. Further the file in question is only several kb larger than it's predecessor (an older backup- which loads fine, just missing a months worth of data)

    yeah... kinda frustration.

    Thanks for any help!

The next thing to try would be to do an upgrade (even if it's to/from the same version) to get your data into a known good set of data files.

    Shawn,

I've recently had database corruption myself and upon recovering my data I have managed to save most of my customer/invoice/payment data. My problem is now when I post a payment there is no select for Payment Type (the list is blank). This same type of problem appears in other places to so it seems I've lost a lot of the default information from the Optigold install although my customer data seems to have been recovered.

    Any ideas?

Oh and I have done the upgrade from 3.3.6 to 3.3.7 since this happened to with no change in the problem.

You can setup your payment types under Maintenance & Preferences -> General Preferences -> Billing -> Payment Types
