Newbie CJ Question

I am new to CJ. I have several websites. And I have put some websites under my account's Web Site Settings part in CJ. Others are not there.

My question is: Can I put the links I get from CJ into sites that are not in my account's Web Site Settings part. Can the clicks be tracked as well? Thanks for answering.

Yes, I'm pretty sure they will work fine.

But I would suggest doing it for your own tracking purposes. Even if it's just for a temporary thing. Who knows, it might be wildly successful and you'll have wished you were tracking better from the beginning.

OK, thanks a lot for your advice. I will do it from the beginning then.

No you can't: You need to specify the websites very closely you are promoting for your advertises - this would be a CJ TOS violation:

The clicks will be tracked as invalid clicks - this would call CJ network quality attention and they will flag your account for verification.

Make sure all your promotion sites are listed in your account manager. You will be fine.

CJ will find any reason to give you a violation to cover their asses. Walk a fine line and list every site and only use that code. Once you start making enough money to get on their radar they will watch you closer.

Hm. Interesting. I have seen people who have had their cj affiliate links in their signature on DP.

mmmhhh... so how what if I'm promoting cj merchants through adwords? How do I state that in my account so that my clicks are not taken as invalid?

    landing page only solution???

CJ won't care about your clicks. It pays you for the products sold rather than the clicks.

You should follow their guidelines and only ue banners on the website they are generated for.
