Hi, I'm trying to build up an email list for a non profit political advocacy. And I have a problem. I use Constant Contact for the 200 or so opted-in emails I have. I have another list of some 5000 emails of people. They havent opted in yet, but many of them I feel will do so if given the opportunity. PROBLEM: CC will not allow me to send out an intro email to these 5000 people, asking them if they wanna join. That's spamming, and they threatened to shut down the account if I do so. So HOW do I get an initial email out to these people asking them if they wanna join the list? Is there a different provide other than CC that will allow this? I really prefer NOT to have to buy and install mass email software on my PC if possible, I so prefer a hosted provider! And yes, I do have CC's join our email list button on the website.
Unfortunately, if you have 5000 list from another company, your going to have them opt-in again to be able to send them the email.That is called double opt-in. Aweber or Get Response will probably be the same thing. Because so many people tend to spam, these companies are getting very strict in email list.
